Instead Softcup & Cervical Mucous Question -- TMI
Here is my post from Tues. May 3rd:
My last AF started May 28th and ended May 31st. Well today (June 3rd) I have been experiencing some sharp pains on the right side of my pelvic area. Could this be ovulation pains this soon? I really need to know, because If it is, then me and DH need to get busy!
Today My question is: Okay, I thought that I may be ovulating so my dh and I decided to bd and use the Instead softcup to hold the sperm as close to my cervix as possible. Well on Thursday (June 4) when I removed the Instead softcup (TMI) I noticed that there was a bid glob of mucous in it. My question is, did that come from me or does sperm look mucousy too? All my life I have never seen cervical mucous, I always thought that I was one that just didn't get it. I hope it was from me, because doesn't that mean I really was/am ovulating?

My DH and I used Instead Softcup when TCC after our No.1. Before we tried softcups, on a friend's recommendation, we had been TCC for months and months! As soon as we used Instead Softcup, we found we were pg!

Anyhow, you can go to their web-site for more info, softcup.com. But basically the Instead Softcup was initially intended as an alternative to tampons. It is basically a plastic cup that fits snuggly inside you. When inserted after BD, the softcup traps the semen inside, increasing your chances of getting PG!

I've never used Instead Softcups and it was probably his semen. Have you tried taking Evening Primrose Oil or Flaxseed Oil or Preseed to increase natural CM production? If you do not get pregnant this cycle, please look into one of the three things I mentioned (or use Preseed with one of the oils for even better odds).
I just need to ask. . . what is a softcup?
It could have been your DH's sperm you were seeing. Depending on where you are in your cycle, your CM could be many different consistencies.
