feeling babys head with my fingers?

i'm 36 weeks on monday, is it normal to feel babys head when i stick my finger up my vagina? i can feel it through the sac of course, not a head with hair, just can feel hard round head, anyone else can feel theirs? i could feel the head my previous baby, at around 39-40 weeks, i'm just wondering if thats what lightening is? the head moves down so low? the midvifes could feel that head was down and low from around 30 weeks, so its definetly the head i'm feeling, should i mention that at my appointment on tuesday, or is that normal?

My fiance could feel that with our daughter around 35 or 36 weeks, my midwife actually showed my fiance how to properly check it without hurting anything and gave him some gloves since he was sooooooo in to my pregnancy and always asked so many questions.  She said she usually wouldn't do this but since i was having so many issues she felt he should be able to check me to see if i was dilating at all so we didn't have to go to the hospital any more then we already were going

You should not be sticking your fingers up there to purposely check for dilation. Medical professionals use sterilized gloves. Your risking getting and infection or even worse breaking your own water! When you get fingered the guy doesn't shove his hand clear up to reach your cervix!

Your allowed to have as much sex as you like unless tue dr says otherwise!! Im 4cm dilated and a my last apt dr told us to have lot of sex to keep things moving. And we have. As long as your water hasnt broken the baby is still protected from infections!! So keep on doing  .. what your doing unleaa dr says otherwise :) have fun ;) haha

With my previous baby, i was dilated almost 2 cm for about 3 weeks before my waters broke and i had my baby, doctors didn't say no to sex, i did ask, and didn't get infected..

Because if you are effacing or dilating you are in early stages of labour and can pass bacteria through to the baby. Once you begin dilating you should try to stay as clean as possible. You wouldn't have sex if you were dilated would you

How is putting my fingers up there any different from getting fingered or having sex?

That probably means you are effacing. However, it isn't good to feel up in there with your fingers because you can introduce bacteria if you do. Let a medical professional check you.

If I could feel my baby's head I would probably **** my pants.. I've never ever heard of this or expiernced it only time I felt my baby a head was when they were coming out..
