i only gained 15 lbs. my entire pregnancy and i had a healthy 5lbs 8 oz. baby boy, i was actually 20 lbs underweight when i got pregnant, so technically as of now i am right on the mark for my height.....i dont think it should be any concern right now but if this continues over the next month or so you might want to consider doubleing your calorie intake.
at one point in the last trimester i gained 13 lbs in a week and a half dont worry it usually catches up with ya!!!
I've lost 6 lbs since my last Dr appt a month ago. I asked my Dr about it last Tues and he said nothing to worry about. He will let me know if he's concerned. He checked the baby and she is doing great! He said it could be because I had such bad nausea, that my eating habits changed. As long as I'm eating right, he said keep doing what I'm doing.
i would assume your doc would tell you if they were concerned..for me with my first pregnancy(14 years ago),i was so sick that i lost 20 lbs,but then gained most back towards the end,so i guess i broke even.for me it wasnt harmful to the baby because i was overweight at the time anyway.not saying that being overweight is healthy, just saying that because i had that extra weight,it might have made up for me losing... with this pregnancy, ive only gained 10 so far,and im just starting my 28th week.again,i already weigh alot more than first pregnancy,so im not that concerned about the fact that i didnt gain too much..then again,i still have some time left,so who knows how much i will gain..i dont have a big appetite .sometimes i just dont feel like eating.just take the prenatal vitamins and if youre still concerned, talk to your OB
I didn't start putting on weight until about 20-24 weeks... and then I started making up for it by increasing 8-9 pounds every 4 weeks!
I think you are very lucky!!!!! I gained various weights during my last two babies. The baby gets all it needs so as long as you feel OK, and have enough energy etc then I really wouldnt worry. The weight will quickly gain in the next few weeks Im sure, especially if you were slim and normal weight.
I forgot to mention I was a normal weight when I got pregnant. :)
