Telling ur Boss ur preg

Any one still have to tell your boss that you are pregnant? I haven't told anyone yet. I just started this job last month(my old job closed) I am so starting to show (6 weeks maybe)and don't think I can hide it much longer. Kinda waiting till my next appointment when they do another u/s and give me a due date and tell me everything is ok so far. Don't know what he's gonna say...

With my first pregnancy I was 5 weeks and 2 days when I found out I was
pregnant. I work for a school so I waited till I got an U/S done to tell them.
My due date was May 5 now this was in 2005. So it worked out cause it
was almost the end of the school year. Well now I am pregnant again and
I am 14 weeks and my due date is for June 8,2008 so it worked out even
better cause I won't have to ask for maternity leave. I told them here about
a month ago cause I started to show and I have been very ill to where I have
had to stay home. I would wait till I had an ultrasound done to tell my boss.
That way you can give them a date.

I agree with what all the replies say.  I would wait as long as possible....even if you do start to show....as long as you give them a reasonable time frame before you'll need maternity leave.

I agree--with my first pregnancy I actually interviewed and got hired knowing I was newly pregnant, but I didn't tell them.  I waited as long as I could (like 3-4 months) and then I told them.  By then they knew I was a hard worker, I was there everyday on time, and they liked me so it was not an issue.  Good luck and congrats!

I agree with the previous poster don't tell them yet.

Even if you start showing and they suspect don't tell them until after the probabation period. I made the mistake of telling before hand and it only ended badly.
