Thought i was 7 weeks and 3 days but just sac

Hi. I am 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant, well i thought was 7 weeks.  The ultrasound Friday showed 5 weeks and some change.  But, on the ultrasound it just showed a sac.  No fetal pole or baby.  Was it too soon? My doctor arranged to get my HCG levels tested.  I am supposed to get the results back today.  This is torture.  I had some bleeding last wed. but not enough to fill up a pad and it didn't last long. Today is Monday and I haven't had any bleeding since then.  I don't know what to think. Did i miscarry Wed. even though it was a little amt. of blood?  I had know cramping or anything....Oh, I hate waiting and not knowing. I don't even feel confident or comfortable about saying I am pregnant out loud anymore.

I am back from my appt.  Still nothing in the sac.  I am about 6 weeks now.  My doctor said she is not giving up because she has had patients who were in the same situation and a baby just popped up. I am to go in tomorrow for blood work again so they can check my levels. She's hoping the numbers will double.  I really don't know what to say or think at this point.  I have been so stressed, but i tell you one thing....I can not worry about it anymore!! If a baby pops up, i would be over joyed.  But, if not, I will be okay.  I will keep you posted....

Thank you both so much for responding.  The doctor called me and told me my numbers were low from Fridays blood test but that was good because it matches what they saw on the ultrasound.  The nurse called this morning saying from monday's blood work by numbers did go up a little but not a lot so, the doctor wanted me to come in around 1:00 for an ultra sound.  Fingers crossed and praying that everything is fine..... i will post results when I get back.  Again, I really appreciate the support.  I needed that.

How do you calculate the weeks thing? It confuses me a bit

if you are acctually at five weeks then yes it was too early to see anything, but just sit back and wait for the results, hope it all works out

im sorry to hear that. But i dont think it was a misscariage because trust me youll know when your having a misscariage i have had 2 and both were very painfull with alot of bleeding. They maybe miscalculated your weeks and told you were more than what you really are. If i were you i would go to another clinic just to make sure that the other placeis accurate.
