I'm on this forum to find people for my daughter to chat to. She's 17 and pregnant with her first baby. I had her when I was 19 and the internet was very new. I was lucky enough to witness my sister labour and birth (normal delivery, drug free, bath for pain relief) with her first baby so I was expecting much the same. I actually birthed faster and didn't have time to use anything for pain refief. I had faith in my body and no horror stories to colour my experience. I'm a midwife now and I can tell you from my professional experience that women who are relaxed and have great support birth better than women who are anxious or have minimal support. They say the brain is the biggest sex organ, the same is true when birthing. Positive thoughts or a mantra like 'the pressure is helping me meet my baby' can help. I personally didn't use one but I've seen them work. You've got this!! :-)
Thank you ladies i feel a little better
I can't wait!! Had so many complications I just want her out. I will be cheering when I'm in labour lol
Im 36 weeks.. and have been thinking about it nonstop. Its scary to know im soo close to labor /:
trust me Hun by the time your little sweet one gets here you will remember nothing of the pain you went through with any of the labor once you look into your baby's eyes. for me the hardest part of being pregnant is the "being pregnant" part not the labor and delivery part.
I am 30 weeks today with my third baby, second daughter. My first daughter was a little hard for me but that is because she came so fast! And I learned not to stress about labor when it hits. according to the doctors I had been having contractions all day and yet I didn't feel any of them.they told me to come back that night around 6 p.m. and get checked to make sure everything was okay. when I went in and got checked the nurse stripped my membranes without even asking the doctor which is massively against the rules.then within the hour they sent me home and within an hour of getting home I was back at the hospital. because they had sent me home there was no time for an epidural and everything had to be done naturally without any pain meds all I got was an IV. I do believe that because my birth was natural that is the reason it lasted for less than 3 hours I only pushed 3 times with my daughter and had no complications. My son was way easier, and he was all natural too. I plan on doing this birth all natural as well. I am not afraid of the pain because I have gone through it twice before it is not as bad as everyone says if you focus on your breathing and a focal point. good luck!
