I would day ask. Your doctor
If you had a tumor an u/s could detect it but usually it's diagnosed through cell samples and biopsies that are physically taken from the suspected site and tested. If you feel that you're at risk ask your doctor.
I do not even know the symptoms for them..each time I have sex I have this sharp in my cervix. This stabbing pain.over 5 years now.idk what is it. Some people. Said is cyst. Am scared. Because this pain kept bothering me after I have sex.I will feel cramps in my back my stomach everywhere.
Cancer of the cervix is detected through a pap smear. They look at the cells for abnormal ones to determine if you have this.
Cysts are very common with women especially in their ovaries. They are typically harmless. They are simple cysts and cause some pain during menstruation and can possibly pass which is painful (passed one a few years ago myself). But cysts are not tumors.
Have you gotten a pap smear any time recently?
No not yet never have it before. I will go to my. Dr to check
Not I never had that test before.. but I will make appointment. I just praying it not cervical cancer
It's not a bad test. It's the one where they put your feet up in stirrups, put a speculum (metal thing that isn't very big) in, use a swab and take some cells to analyze.
Make an appointment and put your mind at ease. Then talk to the doctor about the pain during sex. good luck
I had the same issue and still do every now and again, came to find out that my ovary is fused with my appendix. And since being pregnant the pain is much worse with everything making room and what not. At my papsmear (in September) I had abnormal cells but she said it's nothing to worry about right now, which is still worrisome because cervical/uterine cancer runs in my family. And my mom just wants me to get it all removed after the baby because it's such an issue with all the women of my mom's side. Cancer is big on her side of the family. I wish you the best of luck!
