update + vent!!!!!

My doctor told me to go to the ER they got me in right away hooked me up to the monitors baby is fine breaking me out from moving so much that the monitor can't get a read on her heartbeat.  The on call midwife comes in does her inspection says I've got bacterial vaginosis and that ill have to be on antibiotics for a week then proceeds to have the nerve to ask me if I've had more than one sexual partner since becoming pregnant...umm no and why did that sound accusitory?  Then proceeds to ask if the father was in the picture if he has strayed with other woman and if he can be trusted?  Excuse me....she tells me that she's going to swab me to make sure its nothing more "serious!" Seriously is she for real....ohhh this midwife p****d me off I went off on her telling her that she doesn't have to be accusitory and rude.  I have been with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years of course I trust him and he's never given me a reason not to...ugh I've had a long day and didn't get anything done and I was told to stay off my feet for a couple days unless necessary.

Yeah, it sounds like she was just doing her job.. They have to ask, or they may miss something. I'm sorry you were offended, but I'm glad it's nothing serious! :)

is doesnt really sound rude to me it sounds like she was just being matter of fact about the situation because that is a sign of an std also to me she was just doing her job maybe im just saying ths because i am in the health care but we have to ask these questions

She did some swabs to check for bacterial vaginosis and other things but she said 95% sure its bv.  Ilk know more this friday as I have a regular Ob appt. Idk how my boyfriend would stray to begin with..he works 50+ hrs a week, has a 5 year old daughter and has to sleep not to mention the fact that we live together.

wow that is rude. i got a bacteria too but my nurse never asked me anything about  that maybe because shes seen my husband. but that was just rude, and can someone just know you have bacteria by just looking? i thought you needed a test or something?

They only ask if you've been with anyone else because "strange" sperm can change your ph balance and cause BV. She just seems concerned for your and babies well being as she doesn't know if your partner strays or not. Suppose she could've asked nicer.

That was rude of her she could have just asked if there was any possibility that the father had sex with someone else and left it at that of coarse your not gonna cheat your pregnant who on earth would do that? there's a lot of ways you could of got a vaginal infection it is called a open wound, its always open you could of had too much discharge in your pad or under wear i got a yeast infection by waiting to change my pad she didn't have to assume anything.
