Max is finally here

Max Robert was born July 12, 2008 at 3:07pm. He weighed 9lbs. and 8 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. He got a perfect 10 for his Apgar and our family couldn't be happier to finally have him in our lives. Labor was not as bad as I thought it would be. Pitocin was started at 7:01 am and contractions came on quick and fast... I got the epidural and it was a godsend. Start to finish it only last 8 hours and 6 minutes... not bad for my first time!!! I was kept on IV Pitocin until the next afternoon however because the bleeding was so bad and they wanted to keep my uterus contracting to get rid of some of the clotting. They said if he was any bigger I could not have delivered vaginally. Hope you enjoy the pictures I put up.
