Ovarian Cyst....Advice.

So I am 7 weeks today, and was diagnosed on Tuesday with a HUGE cyst on my left ovary, possible corpus luteum. I was wondering if anyone else had this in early pregnancy, and if so when did it finally clear up, or what was done to make it go away?

I'm cramping really bad on my left side, and have been spotting bright red blood which just started tonight.
What are the chances of miscarriage due to a cyst?

It measures approx. 4 cm as of May 4th
and was about 6cm April 21st

I have more than one cyt on my ovaries, but they are not as big as yours! I am pregnant too, 24 weeks and they cause me pain from time to time, I havn't had any bleeding, but I do feel pains in both ovaries off and on especially if I move wrong! if you are going to be getting medicaid you can find an office that accepts medicaid and explain to them that you are in the process of getting on medicaid and a lot of time they will see you before you actually get the proof, because pregnancy goes back to 3 months before you applied, so they can still get their money back from the goverment! especially if you explain that it is urgent! I don't think that cyst usually cause MC, but  if they have to remove it while pregnant or if it does end up being an ectopic they will have to remove it can sometimes effect the baby. Good luck and i hope things work out for you! my Dr told me for my cyst (although smaller ones than yours) that it would'nt effect the pregnancy other than the pressure from the growing baby might make them uncomfortable at times!

They told me it could be a possible pregnancy in my ovary...their not ruling that out, however they said that they did see a fest. sac and yolk sac in my uterus. I asked the doc how rare it was to have 2 pregnancies, one in the uterus and one in the ovary, and he said thats like winning the lottery....so. I am unsure if I just banked LOL or if it's a cyst.

My paper work said the mass is consistant with a Corpus Luteum, but not ruling out Ectopic? which is odd. I would think that going from 4 weeks to 7 weeks and my levels going from 496 to 36000, that if it was a pregnancy in my ovary you would be able to make out the yolk sac like you can in the uterus??

I'm not concerned about an Ectopic honestly...I think that the doc's not being honest is just a way to do more tests and collect more money from the insurance. However they did tell me to follow up with a doc, but I cannot find one who takes my insurance, and I will have to wait to be accepted on medicaid.

All I know is that the damn thing is HUGE and painful. My left side and lower left back is swollen from it, I can hardly pee and my kidney aches all the time.

The bleeding stopped. I was going to go in this AM if it didn't, but thankfully it did. No I don't usually bleed or spot while pregnant, which is why I believed it to be the cyst. I am actually in a lot of pain from mine. I went to the ER with let side pain dreading an ectopic, but it turned out to be a cyst. I am also having kidney issues because it's so large and pushing on my kidney.

I was reading that corpus luteum cyst usually don't have symptoms, but I have an immense amount of pain on my left side....the sucker is HUGE as I seen it on ultrasound. I'm hoping it goes away soon and quickly as it interfere's with my work and BD'ing with the DB.

So i'm bumping this for anyone else to chime in if they'd like.

I am not sure about the chance of mc due to a cyst but if you are bleeding and its bright red you should go to the ER. Red is never good. Do you bleed with your other pregnancies?? Some woman do bleed during pregnancy and have normal healthy pregnancy (I have not).
I also had a corpus luteum on one of my ovarys with the last pregancy. I never even knew what it was untill the doctor told me. And that was my 4th baby, I guess I didnt know it all, lol. I forget around what week it should go away but it should begin to shrink and go away completly soon. But I would definitly be seen about the bleeding, It will give you peice of mind too.
Good luck,
Hugs!!
