Miami Heat game 5 days before due date

So my hubby got us tickets to the Miami Heat Game live at the Irena, he thought that it'd be a wonderful surprise. I would love to go but the thing is, it's on Christmas Day (December 25th) And my baby is due New Years Day (January 1st). So I'm thinking that maybe I'll give birth before then or while I'm there and I do not want to be in labor in front of thousands of people. Idk what do tou guys think, should I go?

@specialmom we are stationed about 10 minutes from the Sturgis Bike Rally, the month of August out here we get SO many good concerts, rodeos, etc. I mentioned to my doctor my husband wanted to get tickets to see Huey Lewis and the News and she was strongly against it. I can see about not going to the Buffalo Chip where I would have to be on my feet but this was a concert in like the grand stands. I literally cried when she told me I could do permanent damage to my sons ears because we had been planning to go to this concert for a year.

Hmmm I say wait and see. You could end up going over due for all you know. If you feel bad like a week or 2 before the game, then I say stay home.

I've never heard that about hearing of the baby. My doctor always told me that the baby is really well insulated in there.  ??  That is something to check out with your doctor to be safe for sure!

Hi there.  This is a long way off and hard to predict when you go into labor.  Many pregnancies are late the first time around.  I was 10 days late.  I was due before Christmas and had my baby several days after.

There are no guarantees you won't have the baby early but there is a really good chance you won't.  You WILL however be pretty uncomfy by that point.  The last couple of weeks are a tiny bit brutal.  Things like climbing stadium steps might be uncomfortable.

So, think about it.  Those tickets are the kind of thing you can sell pretty close to the date of the event and even AT the event if need be----  so you don't have to decide for a while if he already has the tickets.  good luck!!  (Christmas babies are fun!)

I think it is cutting it close. Especially with the noise of the game. I was advised by my doctor a month before my baby was born not to go to any concerts, movies, etc because it can harm babies hearing. Your doctor would probably be your best bet to discuss this with! :)
