well thanks to every one who gave me some advise...i will def keep yall posted! i hope this will be an easy concieving cuz we are soo ready for our 3rd
I also had the mirena and I never bled while I had it. I had it removed Sept. 07. I got my first period in oct, but I didn't conceive until the end of march, but unfortunately it ended in miscarriage on April 1st. I still haven't gotten my period since the miscarriage and I haven't had any signs of it coming. Hopefully I'm preggo again.
I took my mirena off in Dec 2007. I did not get my period for those 3 years having mirena on me. Finally, on Feb 01st I got my 01st period. Its normal, your body needs to re--adjust.
We didnt start trying again untill I had two regular persods in a row, and the first month we tried: I WAS PREGNANT!
So, my advise is to be patient, your body will retrun to normal.
God bless you, baby dust to you!
no i did not kno it contrained hormones...i was on the understandment it did not contain ne...and my dr. said i would be able to ttc, after it was removed...well the last preg test i took was 3 days ago, was neg...so idk.....it is very frustrating...and wen i test with the ovulating thing...i either get no line or a faint line and they say faint means nothing! so wat if im not even ovulating?..but i think ima just forget about it and go from there!
i had the mirena IUD in also, had it removed Sept 13th 2007. I bleed from the proceedure for a week, mine was harder to get out b/c the cut the string to short it took about a half hour of PAIN to finally have it gone. i am now 32w1d prego. I never got a period after having it removed. i got my first positive test on oct. 17th, so i would say wait a few weeks and test, you very well may not get your period and it wont be b/c something is wrong it will be b/c your prego! Atleast that was my case!
Basically it is the same as the Mirena, but with no hormones..... Sperms do not like copper..... so they say (the docs that is).... and also with the IUD in place... it keeps the egg from implanting on the uterus..... just in case a spermie got away and was able the fertilize the egg..... I would recommend the Copper IUD to anyone....You can get it removed and ttc asap...
so what DOES the copper one do? lol it sounds like a *mantle* piece haha.....just kidding, but the original question was serious!
I am sure you already know that the Mirena IUD contains hormones... it is known to take some time to remove completely out of your system.... I would give it another month and if you still don't get your period...I would call your doctor.... I hope that helps you.... I had the copper IUD removed on April 17th.. but it is very different from the Mirena... where this one does not contain hormones....
Good Luck!

ooooooohhhh ok lol then, it stillmay just be the biological adjustment, i'd see a gyn and if he says nothings wrong, i'd still go for the low dose....i hear they're awesome for accidental pregs, b/c apparently the pill only works if you take it withing 5 mins of the same time you took it last??? but i do hear alot of women take it for just 3months or less, and then intentionally skip like a 3rd of the *important* pills, and end up pregnant!!!
I'm sorry it was to say NOT bleding I havent started yet!
chill babe! sometimes after you quit birthcontrol (any kind), your body keeps bleeding b/c it is used to the chemicals that keep it from having a *true* period
oops, my bad, you mean TODAY you are still bleeding! well it may be that the only thing wrong is your body adjusting.....every single time i *left* a birth control, i'd bleed for a really long time, once for 6 weeks.....you should see your gyn, get on a low dose temporarily, and after you period regulates, ttc then.....i've met women who seem like the only time they get pregnant is if they hop on birth control for a month or so, then *skip* pills to intentionally get pregnant....and somehow with this particular friend*actually my cousin!*, it's worked *4 FREAKING* times lol.....
