Misscariage at 5 months????

My hubby's aunt is 5 months pregnant with twins. Last year she was pregnant just like me but she lost the baby as well as me. Well we got pregnant again and we are both 5 months. She found out she is having twins. For some reason she ended in the hospital and it seems like she is losing both twins. I am so scared I thought once you are 5 months the risk of you getting a misscariage is not possible. I am scared because last year she had lost the baby first then I did. I hope that doesn't happen this time. I guess I get really scared since this is my third pregnancy but my first that I actully seen the baby and all and known the sex. I am even scared to buy stuff for the baby. I really want to buy the crib and so many other stuff. But thinking of buying them and then knowing I would lose the baby it would kill me. I would see those things and make me remember. So many people tell me that I wont lose this baby that he will be in my arms in June. But I just can't believe it. I always say after the ultrasound I will feel better and I do. But then I go back to the same thing of being worried. I also hate the feeling that I am not showing as much as I would like to. I believe if I was really showing I would worrie less since I can see myself and know there is someone there inside me. People cant even tell I am pregnant! I guess I am overreacting.

Hi there,  I know exactly how you feel.  I am 22 weeks on Sunday and this is my 4th pregnancy, but my first to last more than 6 weeks.  I ain't showing very much either but I can feel the lil thing move all the time which makes me feel much better.  I don't even know the sex of my baby yet and won't for another 2 weeks.  I am just like you and want to start buying thing but I really want to wait til I am more like 6 1/2 months just to be more safe because thats when they start to see you more often.  I am sure everything is ok.  Try to relax and just think..We will be holding our lil ones in June.  My due date is June 1st.  Good lucka dn keep us posted on how things go..Good luck o your Aunt too!!

Im not sure with twins but it is possible just not likely to miscarry past 12 weeks. There is probably more risk with twins. Im sure your baby is going to be just fine. What you need to do is try to relax as much as possible so you don't put stress on the baby. I wish you and your hubby's aunt the best of luck!
