Moms who've breastfed.

I'm due in just 19 days and trying to make sure I have everything I'll need for breastfeeding.

I have:
Nipple cream
Nursing bras
Breast pads
Nursing pillow
Getting a pump next week.

But for those who pumped and stored your milk, would you suggest the baggies or plastic containers? I plan on pumping only when necessary and keeping it in the fridge, if that helps any. Also, would you recommend a nipple shield? And what bottles worked best for your little one?

Sorry it's a lot, but I'm a ftm and just freaking out! Lol.

The baggies are great I keep them in the freezer and they thaw a lot quicker in just a few minutes and the milk will be warm. I lay the baggies flat in the freezer so they don't take up room and they thaw and warm faster. Also no to the nipple shields those should only be used in extreme situations. They can confuse the baby to stop taking your nipple and can actually cause a decrease in milk production.

When I was breast feeding I just had a pump and bottles.. I didn't really need anything else. The only time I pumped was when I was going out and wasn't able to feed my son and later when I had breast issues that made it too painful to nurse. I just stored the milk in the bottles since I only used it for outings.you seem to have everything you need.
