Sorry to here this. I have small babies too. My first daughter started on the 3rd percentile (5 week scan) and remained on that growth rate until she was born at 39+4 weeks weighing 2.6 kgs (less than 6 pounds). We had growth scans at the end but although she was small she wasn't dropping centiles and my placenta was good so my OB was happy for her to stay till term. Saying this she is now 3, still tiny but has always hit her developmental milestones early. This second pregnancy is travelling the same. I think your OB will probably make a call if the growth continues to drop although make sure you get some growth scans first as the measurements in the rooms can be off. My husband and I are still really confused with our small bubs and children as we are both quite tall. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
I had a similar situation with my first and may be experiencing it again with my second. They will compare the growth between the 2 weeks and if the growth is tracking between 5th-10th then they will probably organise another scan. Of it drops again they may choose to do a c-section. It is early for baby to be out but they try and assess whether it will grow better on the inside or on the outside. I hope whatever's best for you and your baby happens!
My doctors didn't say much just brought my next scan date closer than it was, I think I'm worried as I'm own 30 weeks this Sunday and no one can tell I'm pregnant I don't feel pregnant I still fit in a size 8 jeans and now I find myself constantly worried and go ogling lol, baby is plotted just under 10th centile but abit above 5th centile. My first 2 were sgw the first they didn't notice with, but at 38 weeks they realised my second hadn't grown for 5 weeks!
You know, my daughter was born 8 pounds but pretty quickly we were told she was little. She was in the 20th percentile and now at an older age, she still is. Is your doctor concerned?
