My first U/S - Update / HB question

I had a u/s this morning to date the pregnancy and make sure everything is going well. Baby measures 7.7 cm and the HB was 135. For the measurments the nurse said I am about 7 weeks. I figured I was almost 8 weeks. So, that is pretty close. She said that the heartbeat will be faster next time we do a u/s which is scheduled for 6/30. Not taking any chances this time after having m/c'd twice since ttc. Very excited now about pregnancy, before it was like "okay we'll see". Now with seeing a baby in there with a heartbeat, I'm just glad. First m/c at 6 weeks and my second m/c blighted ovum so no baby in there at all. I am so glad to see one this time. Now for the question. What is the general size for dating purposes. Anyone run across a website for this that seems pretty reliable?

Thanks, I figure that measurement has to be my uterus. I am really excited about the HB though.

This is a pretty good website that has a week-by-week account of baby growth along with what changes to expect.

Yes, 7.7 cm is too big to be your baby (should be 1.2 cm in length) so the measurement must be for something else (I have no idea how big the uterus should be at this point).

The HR is GREAT (it should range from 120-180 bpm) and the fact your dating is reasonably consistent w/ the US is wonderful news.  US can be about a week off and I also measured a week smaller than I thought based on my LMP.  In my case, my doctor is confident regarding the dating of the US as she also performed a pelvic exam  early on in the pregnancy (uterus was about a week smaller than she would have expected which was consistent w/ the US).

BTW: once a HB is seen, the risk of a MC drops CONSIDERABLY.  Have a happy 33 weeks.

I think 7.7 cm may be the size of my uterus right now. Seems a bit high for size of baby now. Your thoughts.
