Feeling pretty sad

My boyfriend and I had sex on my most fertile day and the condom slipped, i'm not on the pill and i didn't get the morning after pill and some sperm had slipped out of the condom... i started showing signs of being pregnant uncluding a missed period... I had a negative pregnancy test the next morning but still thought i was pregnant so i was going to wait a week after my period was due, however, 4 days after my period was due i started getting cramps, sore lower back and i started getting light pink blood on my pad, it looked like it was mixed with some brown and clear discharge as well... that night i woke up an hour after falling asleep in pretty bad pain... my lower back, lower abdomen and my vagina were all hurting and i was feeling really sick... i had to take panadol and use a heat pack to calm it down.. observing the bleeding between then and now... it has been anything but a normal period for me and my periods are always the same... heavy for the first 2 days then light for a further 5 days.. the bleeding has been light but i've had a lot of dark blood clots..
I guess I'm worried because before the bleeding had started i was just about ready to tell people "i'm pregnant" even though a test hadn't confirmed it... and now i still have a strong feeling i was, but the feeling i'm not anymore... obviously i wouldn't be after all those blood clots had come through... would this be a miscarriage? is there anyway i can find out for sure? thank you for your help!

I've never had a miscarriage, so I'm not entirely sure....It's called a chemical pregnancy when you get a positive on an HPT and then miscarry shortly thereafter - before you would have even been late for your period.  Clotting and cramping are generally a bad sign if you are in the early stages of pregnancy - ESPECIALLY clotting - so I don't think that you are, based on what you described.....but then again, I'm not a doctor ;-)

Thank you so much!! You have no idea how much you have really helped me.. being young and not having anyone to turn to i really wasn't sure what to do.. i'll take another test soon then : ) just one thing i'm still not sure about... would that be likely to be an early miscarriage? and would the test come up positive if it was... or... is there a chance i could be pregnant even though i had the clotting? thanks again

I think you should take one, just to be sure.  You said your period was not as it usually is, so that's why I'd suggest taking another one......but then again, it could just be a "weird" period - I hope it is :-))

No i haven't taken another HPT... would it still be worth taking one? and no it's certainly not my priority.. thing is i didn't know it was my most fertile day when it happened and i do have the pill now i was just waiting for my period to start so i could start it... but it didn't come... I have been stressing about all this because i can't tell my family... I do try my best to be careful but that one day really didn't work out to be good for us... So would it be worth taking another HPT? would it come up positive if i was? or should i skip that and see a doctor, or could it really be nothing and i just forget it? i really just need some advice... thank you so much for helping me, i REALLY appreciate it

Sorry, I'm confused....Have you taken another HPT??  If you've had clotting, then I'd guess that it's unlikely you're pregnant, but then again, it's not entirely impossible, either.

You should take another test, if you haven't already.  And if you aren't pregnant and don't wish to be anytime soon, then I'd suggest going on birth control and being more careful, especially around ovulation - my oldest son, now 3.5 years old, was conceived when my husband and I had a condom break during intercourse.  For us, it wasn't a bg deal seeing as we were ready to start conceiving soon anyway, but I'm guessing that at 16 years of age, motherhood isn't your priority.
