Jaydens here! Labor story
Jayden Matthew is here! 12/20/12 @8:32pm 8lb11oz21in I am so in love! Im a ftm and no words can express!
So I had my doc appt wed @845am, I was 38+5 and my bp had gotten kind of high, its been perfect my whole pregnancy so it worried my obgyn. She checked me I was still 2cm but had gotten to 60%. My obgyns office is in the hospital so she went ahead and admitted me for my bp. They monitored me and ran blood tests everything came back norm. I was there until about 6pm and they told me that my obgyn wanted to go ahead and induce me bc of the bp scare. My cervix wasnt fully thinned so they inserted this paper deep behind my cervix and left it for 12hours, and then put me on a pitocin drip,obgyn checked I was still 2cm but had softened and thinned out more, he went ahead and broke my water to try to move things along. I was getting contractions but 8 hours later I was only to 4cm but fully ripped and effaced, he mentioned I would prob have to have a csection but there were 2 women infront of me so I had 2more hours to try and deliver vaginally. I had gotten my epidural already bc the contractions became unbearable for me. The babies heartrate had dropped while I was in that last 2 hours which terrified me but they had me lay on my side for awhile with an oxygen mask and his heartrate came back up. I ended up with the c section and had to wait an hour before I saw my precious baby boy. Im still in the hospital, they keep c section patients for 72hours, ill get to leave tomorrow! Ive been in alot of pain but they have been giving me meds to help. Jayden has a slight heart murmur but overall very healthy!

Thank yall! Heart murmurs are very common and some go away in 24 hours, my brothers went away when he was 10.. I just worry bc its something lol

I didnt want a c section either but the surgery itself wasnt bad at all and went by fast thankfully!
Idk if youre going to breastfeed, I chose to and love it bc he hasnt spit up once, tho ot makes you contract some during

Thank you soooo much for sharing this story! I'm actually in your same shoes!!! I've had normal bp throughout my pregnancy up until now. I'm going to demand to be induced. My appt is in 4 days. So far I'm 38 weeks and 2 days. Last week I was only 1 cm dilated. Not sure how effaced though. Hopefully my OBGYN is as awesome as yours. Though I do admit... I dnt want a c section. Buy I'm sure glad you too are okay!!! Congratulations new mommy!!! Ima ftm as well btw. :)

Aww congrats momma. yes i know the feeling is like nthn you ever felt before i always tell bd my whole soul lit up wen my chubbs was born. I feared being induced because of many stories similar to your thank god he came on his own. but overall Im glad it turned around n your LO was ok n so were u. he has a god weight n length. my chubbs had a murmur after he was born idk if it was a heart murmur tho doc just said murmur but it went away the day after he was born is that watt they mean? His pedi said many babys get it. Thanx for sharing your story i love reading um. also enjoy the time it flies my chubbs is 6wks going on 7already n it feelse like yesterday i went n2 labor.
