Just from personal expierence.. I missed by birth control patch for 3 days - and ended up pregnant.. and also if you go through fertility treatment (I did IVF for third pregnancy) they put you on the birth control pill to regulate your period.. so it is very possible to get pregnant coming off the pill... If you are not ready for a baby... maybe you should go back on bc.. if there is no medical underlying issue as to why you stopped... I was on the b/c for 12 years... had two children....tubes tied now IVF... I wish you luck and hope things work out for you...

I agree with SarahLouise22, i came off of depo-provera in August 2007 and had what i thought was a regular period until Dec 2007, it then went awol ranging from 28-35days from Jan 2008 until June 2008, then i missed 2 months Jul-Sept where i thought i was pregnant when i wasn't i was gutted.  I then went onto bc from Sept - Dec 2008 and my period has been regular since Feb 2009 28 day cycles, i'm now getting brown discharge from 10 days before AF is due and i'm still not pregnant after 2 and a half years of ttc.

I would wait until your next AF and if you still don't have a period i would speak to a doc to see if they can give you anything to bring your period on.  Best of luck!!!

Hi Pink,

If you are only off the pill a month then you will be irregular. I came off the pill 6 months ago and I missed two periods, some people have been known to go over 6 months without a period when they 1st come off the pill, it all depends on how long you were on the pill.

I'm really shocked your doctor didnt tell you this. I'd be very suprised if you were pregnant. If you get your blood test next week and its neg my advise to you is to enjoy the next couple of months without aunt flo.

Sweetie, you are the only one that can decide what to do if you are indeed pregnant. You basically have 3 options..terminate(abortion), keep the baby, or put the baby up for adoption.  You have to look at your personal situation and figure out what is best for you.

Ok I'm guna get tested tommorow. I'm praying it's negative but what should I do if it's positive? My boyfriend wants me to test with him and he says he would hate me if I do anything to terminate the pregnancy. I'm just so stressed I don't know what to do! what do you guys think x x

pink---Blood test are more accurate than store bought pregnany test..most pregnancy test will pick up once your HCG levels 25-50 a blood test wll tell you an exact number anything over 5 is considered pregnant.  If you have a negative HPT it is not likely you are pregnant however, it is still possible.

merrmerr--A store bought pregnancy test is accurate from the first day of your missed period, so if you have not taken one I would suggest that you do. Condoms are not full proof!!  If it is negative and you are trying to keep it that way you might want to add another bc means....spermicide, bcp, etc use these and also condoms.

You could be pregnant and if you are already two weeks late, you can take a blood test now.
