How long does it usually take for an episiotomy to heal?

I was induced Friday the 13th I went to an appt at 9 an they said I was low on amniotic fluid, I was 39 weeks. I went in they started IV and started getting slight contractions around 12 noon and I had the epidural when I was dialated enough I started pushing around 11 pm I was pushing for three hours then they started tellin me to push harder because the baby had to come out now, when I didn't push hard enough she gave me episiotomy and never told me why but I was wondering how long it usually takes for it to heal up?
