36 wks w/ awful acid reflux PLEASE HELP!

Ok so throughout my pregnancy I have had acid reflux, but just here and there. Not really from what I eat but I think more from being stressed.

Last night I woke up at about 11:30 pm with the worst acid reflux ever! I tried I hot warm relaxing bath, ice cold water.. And nothing even took the edge off. I finally took a hydrocodone that was prescribed to me during my pregnancy for my headaches... and it helped me go to sleep with the acid reflux. It was soooo bad I almost woke up my mother to take me to the hospital but I didn't want to bother her bc I knew she had to get up early.

So when I woke up I still had it but not severe like it was. I've had it all day long, never going away.. I still have it Now and it's 15 mins til 9pm.. I'm going insane with it!! I lost my mucus plug earlier today (GROSS) and was having contractions.. But Now I'm trying to get ready for bed and it won't go away I took 3 tums about an hour ago.. But when is it to much?? My asophagus feels like it's going to burst and my chest hurts too. Ugh I wish it would go away already!!! PLEASE HELP!!

No I haven't tried Zantac I wasn't sure if I was able to take meds like that I'll call and ask b4 I do tho! When I wasn't prego but I was post-partum I took proposed and it took care of the problem.. I ended up chewing 5 tums and still had the pain tip about 4:30am.. But I feel better now just a lil nautious and head ache.. I'll phone my midwife and ask about the meds tho.! Thx so much!

Have you taken anything like Zantac? When I was pregnant I had really bad acid reflux and that was the only thing that worked for me. Water won't help it at all. You would have to drink something like milk to soothe it.
