cd42, no AF and neg hpt's

Come on ladies I need to hear some of your stories. Anyone here that NEVER get a positive hpt even though they have with previous pregnancies. I had my period on Jan11th six weeks post d&c and nothing since then. Today makes it day 42 - I usually have 28 day cycles. The test I took this morning was negative ( I am using first response early test). With my first pregnancy I had to be four days late for it to show a positive (really faint one) and with the last pregnancy it showed a faint positive three days before AF was due. I really was starting to think I was pg but this is like the 5th negative test I have gotten so now I don't know what to think - maybe I am just not as in touch with my body as I thought. I am going to call my doctors office but the line is busy. Hubby thinks we should just wait it out and that this is probably normal because of the miscarriage. The only symptoms I have are slight fatigue, occassional nausea if I wait to long between meals and my nipples are quite sensitive at different times, usually the most at night after I have shed the bra for the day they seem to burn. Any adivce, ideas, motivation ect =-)

Thats so weird...the same thing happened to me after my M/C...my first Period came 30 days later....than 32 and than 42! I was like WHAT!? Every month I thought I was Pregnant due to how late I was...but she came every single time.
Luckily I produce lots of CM and I get weird Cramping when I Ovulate so I know when it's here...but as for my Cycles getting longer and longer, that just blows!
Good Luck TTC :)

yeah I figured as much so when it didn't come exactly on time I tried not to stress as we had a get-a-way planned that weekend anyways with hot tubs and massages ect.., but then when the next week came and went and then another I was starting to get really fustrated. Its like okay I can accept it if I am not pg but I can't move on until Af shows her face. I will let you know whatever happens!!

I had a D&C on 12/10 and my periods were always regular.....(28 days on the dot).....My 1st period after the D&C in Jan. came at 30 days, and this month at 32 days....I think our bodies just need time to "fix" themselves after the trama that they go thru following M/C's and D&C's.  I know how frustrating is though, never able to calculate when ovulation is going to happen, etc......UGH!  Keep us posted on old AF!

Thanks for your story. 50 days must have felt like an eternity, it is definately going to be a long week and horrible wait. I am trying to be very open to the idea that I might not be pregnant after all but we can't try again until AF shows. Dh is very paranoid because of the m/c and says there will be no bd-ing until I get AF or positive hpt. I tried telling him that it would probably help me relax and let whatever was going to happen happen but he said no. He says that although I may think it is silly he correlates it with the m/c (having a lot of sex so soon in the pregnancy). I told him its not silly - your heart will hold on to anything and has reasons that reason does not understand. I myself am convinced that the reason i got an early positive with that pregnancy was because it wasn't going to last and it was to be celebrated as much as possible however short! Wow sorry so long!

Just thought I'd let you know my story. I went of the pill in november, had regular cycle november and december and then went 50 days without seeing AF, usually have 32-35 day cycles, so I was more than 2 weeks late.  I thought I was pregnant and everyone told me it was a possibility, even though I kept getting negative HPT's  I'm only on cycle day 9 for this one and I hope it is normal this time.  I know it can be scary not knowing what exactly is going on with your body, and at the same time hoping you are pregnant.  Good luck and my prayers are with you!

Just spoke with a nurse from my doctors office and she said it might very well be from the miscarriage but she wouldn't rule out pregnancy just yet. She asked for me to call back if AF doesn't show in another week. I feel a little better - really glad that pregnancy is still an option. I will keep you all posted!! Thanks for listening!!

Thanks for your story. I am planning to call my doctor but the line has been busy this am so I am going to try again after lunch - they are slower then anyways.

With my first Pregnancy I got a bunch of false negatives...than finally I was more than 6 weeks along and I got my Positive. I never knew why it took so long for me to get it but I was definitely Pregnant!

Than just this past month...AF was super late. And normally I'm on a 28 day cycle but since going off the pill last year and having a M/C it's gotten messed up...but I thought for sure I was Pregnant. Than on Day 40 she finally came.

Some bodies just don't produce HCG fast enough or it doesnt rise fast enough..if thats your case, make an appointment to get your blood drawn so you can see the actual numbers. There's a reason why she's late whether its Pregnancy or something else. Definitely get it checked out, 42 days is a long time. Good Luck!
