I would say you do have a chance. I know they tell you to use BC after it's removal since fertility returns as soon as it's removed.

Well...the thing with Paragard is it's non-hormonal, so it shouldn't mess with you hormonally. But, it does cause heavier/more frequent bleeding for around 2-5 months (according to the thing they sent me) and then it starts to taper off over time.  (This is also according to people I've talked to who have had them) After you get it taken out I believe you can have random bleeding/spotting for a few weeks after removal and this should also taper off slowly and stop. I read that your normal period should return 3 months after removal.

Hi Aly79,
Any time you stop a hormonal bc (whether it be the pill, depo, iud, etc.) it can mess w/ your cycle as your hormone levels try to balance out.  Some women have spotting, some have heavy bleeding, some have no period at all for an extended amount of time. It seems to affect everyone a little different.

Not sure if this will help you any, but I was on the depo provera shot before I was ttc. When I stopped it, I took Fertility Blend for 1 month to help balance my hormones and get everything functioning properly again. It worked like a charm! I was on it for a week, had my period, and have been having 25-28 cycles since then.

Best of luck to you!!
