Olive oil

So I got talking to a private midwife today. And she told me that 90% of her patients dont tare when they do natural birth. I asked her what she was doing diff and she said she gets every single one of her patients to rub a bit of olive oil around the opening of the vagina. And just massage it in. Start doing it as soon as. Im keen to do it but just wondering if anyone else has and if its safe?

Dont see why not. But im guessing it would be more effective the longer you use it. Good luck :)

you do it through out your pregnancy massaging it into your perinieum with your fingers and slowly stretching it so when babys head crowns, a, your used to the sensation and b, your perineum is supple and stretchable
