Thanks to everyone for your kind and helpful responses. I go to the Dr on Friday so i will see what the doctor says.
I'm obese i provably weight around 185 pound now, they say i need to gain only 15 pound during my pregnancy my goal is to keep my weight gaining in track . am 5 week and 6 days now, When i found out i was pregnant that was the first thing that cross my mind. I star researching for pregnancy workout and good diets for pregnancy .am not working out to lose weight but for my baby to be healthy . Also they say that working out helps in preventing most of the pain you get from pregnancy. The diet part is not going so good at the moment since i have some craving for hamburgers lol. my advice is "don't stress it" just workout and try to eat as healthy as possible.
I was always really little until I got pregnant with my first. I went from 125 to 190 in 8 months. My son was nice and healthy. I know that's a little different because you're over weight already (no offense). My mom was always a big woman since she was a kid, she comes from a big family its just in her genes, she lost weight with my brother (her only pregnancy, she adopted the rest of us) nut she said she went from 250is down to 170ish and my brother was 10ish lbs. Just talk to your Dr. If you have health issues that make you over weight it will be a different situation and she may just want you to watch what you eat and exercise. My.mother inlaw was over weight with all three of her pregnancies and lost weight with two of them and all three of her babies we nice and healthy too. Contrary to popular belief what you eat wont make your baby any bigger or smaller. I know that sounds weird but unless you're doing drugs or starving yourself entirely you can't control how big your baby gets. Good luck and congratulations girl!!
Eating healthy and exercise is honestly the best thing you could do...talk with your doc hun, and come up with a healthy plan for you n baby! Best wishes..:-)
Im 29 weeks and overweight. I had lost about 11 lbs during the pregnancy and have only gained back 2 lbs, which is mostly baby weight. I saw my doc on monday and she was really happy with my weight, no.concerns.
I am over weight by 60. I am 19 weeks. I lost some weight due to sickness and was told by my doctor I could lose up to 10% of my body weight and it would not be a issue. However she would rather I just eat well and work out. My doctor only wants me to gain 16 to 20 pounds.I am currently up 5.5 pounds.
Some people lose weight. Some stay the same weight. Some people gain. Nobody here knows your particular sitution. You need to ask your doctor what you should do and give you a weight goal. I doubt they will have you lose weight though. You will have to see.
