I know the feeling. My baby was in nicu and I think not wanting to hold her was a defense mechanism. I just hope your medication helps quickly!
My mother is staying with us but she can't stay forever. I am nausea when I eat also and thought maybe this could be from the nerve damage. I feel so bad not wanting to hold my baby
Do you have any mommy friends? Do you live clser by family? It can really help too have an experienced mom guide you through the first few weeks without judging you. Sleep can help too if you can manage to sleep when baby is asleep.
Thank you my Dr put me on an antidepressant but I understand it can take 3 weeks to work
Go see someone. Nerve damage can happen with an epidural or spinal, so I'd take their advice and wait six weeks on that. But as far as the depression, talk to someone. If you're recently post natal it could be "baby blues" but it might be full blown depression. The sooner you get help, the sooner you can be the greatest mana you can.
