you would need a ton of fresh pineapple, I think you have to eat about 5 whole ones, so its quite alot, the primrose oil, if you place it up next to your cervix will help soften it, but I still think your best bet is to have the points in your feet done :)

I would go easy with the jumping jacks. Lol. I've heard of several obs mentioning it, but I've never personally had one tell me. So, just be sure you're careful and don't over exert yourself. If it hurts or feels uncomfortable at any point, stop.

Also, fresh pineapple is supposed to help ripen the cervix.

It's always best to consult with your doctor before using herbs or anything to induce your labor. I used evening primrose oil by breaking open one capsule at bedtime and rubbing it on my belly. I did have my dd three days later at 38weeks.

Natural methods are: jumping jacks, spicy food, walking, sex, bouncing on a birthing ball, etc. but remember that baby won't come until its ready, no matter what you do.

Please do not use castor oil as it can cause severe vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration in you. As well as stimulating a bowel movement in baby and causing them to aspirate on the meconium.

you could have put evening primrose up next to your cervix before bed, this help to soften your cervix also, try having your pressure points done in your feet, so go and get some reflexology done and ask them to do the points for your uterus and let them know that your due, that maybe enough to get things started

My water broke but labor never really started. They gave me some pitocin(sp?)and Cervidil to soften cervix. Neither worked much, then she started to go into distress (36 hrs later) so I had a c-section. When doc got to her she found that she'd been pushing down on the wrong part of head so that's why she was still floating a bit. There is a name for what had happened but I can't remember.

Sex does help to soften the cervix. It worked for me even though we did induce bc i was not progressing.

So how did she come out if she never fully engaged...i can see how lopsided walk might help because when you step back down into the road its like your dropping so it kinda like causing your belly to drop thus helping baby engage guess that how it may work

Walking lopsided? That's one I've not heard. Sex and nipple stimulation are thing I tried but didn't work. But my daughter never did fully engage.
