They are genetic..if you're going to get them then you're going to get them.  But there's a lot of stuff to put on out there that will help minimize them.  Try bio oil or tummy butter which is made by Palmers....I use a wide array of products haha

I hear its in your genes I'm almost 37 weeks and not one stretch mark however, I have used Palmers cocoa butter for pregnant woman, its not expensive at all. I would recommend it but once again I hear its in the genes my mom and grandma never had them and neither do I.. hope your belly stays stretch mark free(:

These ladies are correct. I dont have one stretch mark, only used vitamin e cream wen I rememberd. All my life iv worked actively 8 hours a day, (woolhandling) plus I play hockey. My labour was 7 hours I believe being fit helped there to. In saying this il probly get thousands of stretch marks this time as I havnt worked all year or played hockey ,

I stocked up on Extra Virgin Olive Oil (per my grandmother's advice) and Palmer's Cocoa butter. from about 24 weeks on I rubbed both on every night. It felt kinda slimy, but I didn't get stretch marks until I gave birth. I only have a few. And Palmer's will also fade existing stretch marks over time. Nothing really prevents them. It's all about weight gain, genetics, and your skins elasticity.

They are genetic. Nothin can prevent them or get rid of them. If you're going to get them, you'll get them. They do fade though and blend right into your skin once faded.

From what i heard, nothing works. Lol. But my dr. told me the only thing u can really do to prevent them is to stay fit during pregnancy. Me, on the other hand, tried aloe vera lotion. I put it on my tummy after bathing to soothe the itching of them. I only have two very small ones on the bottom of my tummy so far..
