Implantation yes fertilization no. There is a big difference between the two. And yes the "heat of the moments" are fun times. I would have her test in 2 weeks after the encounter just to check since the failure rate is pretty big and the possibility of fertilization already :)
It was a heat of the moment instance, we normally do use protection but not this time. It happens. But now I wanted to find out if the pill would work even though she was ovulating. The package the pill came in does say it prevents implantation of an egg, so I'm assuming it would work even though an egg is fertilized.
Just curious and its not meant to be rude. Why have unprotected sex with her while she is ovulating if you obviously don't want a baby? The plan b pill shouldn't be used as a birth control so id suggest getting your wife on some or buying some condoms.
If the egg was fertilized then it would do much. I had sex, took plan b 24 hours later and still ended up pregnant. Its also only 85% effective which leaves a rather large failure rate.
Plan b can thin the lining of the uterus or slow the movement of the egg &' sperm so implantation doesn't happen but its not proven yet that it does in fact thin the uterine lining to prevent pregnancy once the egg is already fertilized .. its sorta just a 50/50 chance
But I read that if the egg was already fertilized, then the plan B pill is supposed to prevent implantation. So wouldnt it still work to prevent pregnancy?
Plan B is supposed to stop it but if the egg has already been fertilized then plan b does nothing
