Possible recurrent chemical pregnancy

Last month I had a chemical pregnancy. My first HCG was 18 and it just went down from then. This month I am back to seeing a reproduction specialist and was on clomid this month. They saw 5 eggs! I am also on progesterone due to low amounts last month. I went two weeks ago today for blood work and they told me I was about to surge and would ovaluate shortly. I went today for blood work and it came back as an HCG 15. I am so confused because they believe this is a low number and it may possibly be another chemical pregnancy (again???). I am going to retest in 2 days. First question, how many days past ovaluation am I? And secondly is it possible to really have a chemical two months in a row??? By the way, we have been trying on and off again for a year and half and had a possible ectopic/miscarraige a year ago. I had surgery in April to remove endo cysts.... I just hope we finally have good news but according to the RE it doesnt seem that good... HELP!

Maybe you ovulated later than they thought...if you did not get a trigger shot which then it could have maybe take a day or so longer - then it could have taken a little longer implanting too... when do you go back... if the number doubles then I would be optomistic too...

The number was 16 today. It is another chemical pregnancy. Two in a row. I hope the doctor can explain this.

Thanks! I havent given up hope but considering what happened last month, the nurses are making it seem like it may be happening again. I am so anxious and wish I could just hear this is normal. Thanks again!

If you had blood work two weeks ago and they said you were about to ovulate then you would be almost two weeks past ovulation. That's still early most home pregnancy tests wouldn't show a positive before 10-12 days past ovulation at the earliest. I'm not trying to give you false hope, but your numbers could be low because you aren't quite two weeks past yet. If I were you I'd wait week to test or three days at least to get blood drawn again. Good luck!
