Pregnancy Tests

Has anyone ever taken the early pregnancy tests and do they work?  I have never taken one.  I try each month and then get my period:(  How early can you take them and what are your thoughts on them?  I know it says 4 days before your missed period, but then I heard a week after you ovulate.

Did you get a positive?  I tested and got a negative.

That sounds good because it can be quite the emotional rollercoaster to test and retest.. test and retest... with all negatives and then to get your period.  Make sure you test with first morning urine for the most accurate results..

As hard as it is, I will resist testing until a couple days after AF is low..  since my last cycle was 32 days then  I will wait at least 34 days to be safe.. Oh how disappoitned I will be.

Thanks ladies!  Such quick responses!  I will wait.  I am good at that.  I have never taken a pregnancy test.  I alwayd get my period and then tell myself, ok so maybe next month.  I am due for my period the 24th and I think I'll take one on the 26th to be safe IF I don't get my period.  Think that sounds good?  Thanks for your help!

I have used a pregnancy test early before but only by 4 days. Testing a week after you ovulate (which if your cyle is 28 days will be a week before your due on) may be to early in which turn can give you a false negative and not be very nice for you.

But everyone is so different, as my friend did a test 2 days after she was due on which was negative, then again a week later and then again a week after that, it was only then that it showed up positive, so everyone can realy be different.

I would test the day you are due on and if this is negative wait a week.

It can take 7-14 days for the egg to implant and produce hCG, so it is possible to test a week after ovulation. You just need to bear in mind that the earlier you test the less accurate the test is. If you can wait, it's always best to test when your period is due or late. Early pregnancy tests do work, the best being first response. Good luck!
