no i wasnt havng any medication since 2 weeks . i had a hpt wich came out positive and then beta HCG positive . .

As a side note pregnancy tests are rarely false positives unless a woman has recently taken medication containing hCG.

My beta HCG came ouT positiv n i m nw 5 weeks pregnant .
i hav my first ultrasound after few Days i m so happy n exciteD :)

No, it does not mean it's a fake. Your hormone varies throughout the day... You can get different results at different times. If you have gotten negatives before and then got a positive, and it's the same as the ones your doctor uses, I would say you are most likely pregnant. I know the feeling you have. I found out I was pregnant in January and didn't believe it. I was still in shock. It took 18 hpt's to convince me. But, I am indeed pregnant.


Also, I want to add... if the beta comes back negative, it may not have been able to pick up the hcg. Their HAVE been women who have gotten positives at home and negatives at the doctor and have still been pregnant. Don't stress yourself out over it. Just relax and see where it goes. Congrats.

Wel yes i did got clear big POSITIVE .bt m shockd . .
n da brands u ppl use r difrnt frm da 1 we use in pakistan bt  i usd da same 1 wich my dctr use .i got lots ov negativs on it before bt dis time i cldnt believe it was positive .so m realy nervous to believ or not .does it mean m pregnant with my first baby .my dctr askd me to hav a beta HCG ..i hav done it bt realy scared wht if it cums negativ .

I have had 2 false positives, but only with blue dye tests. I have learned to stay away from them because of it. I guess for some it would work but for me, it did not...... Did you have a positive test? If so, what brand did you use?
