Hi! I too had two eptopic pregnancies..one resulting in losing my right tube 8( about 8 yrs ago. Yes there is a much higher chance of having tubal preg, once you've had one, but if your MD has seen a sac on ultrasound in the uterus..than I'm sure you are fine. I'm not really sure why they are discussing actual hsg#'s? This obviously just causes confusion and anxiety. Try not to sress about it and stay positive. Best of Luck! PS. I am a nurse!!
Absolutely, your chances of having another ectopic are around 30% higher simply because if one tube is damaged enough to cause an ectopic, its quite possible both tubes have scarring-which is what the doctors and nurses told me anyway. Thats why i've been monitored so closely.
Thanks for you answers guys, I know its just a waiting game-its just doing my head in!
you are best asking the nurse as not everyone here is qualified to answer, if there were anything up you would have been told by the docs, good luck
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I can understand why you'd be concerned, but it sounds as if you're being monitored very closely, which is comforting.
One of my SILs had an ectopic last year, right around the time we were in the early stages of pregnancy with our second son. I believe that she and her husband are TTC again. Do you - or anyone else - know if there is a higher incidence of an ectopic pregnancy if you've had one already?
Those numbers look great! They need to double every 48-72 hours which looks like they are more than doubling.
Congrats and hope you have a happy and healthy nine months.
I know the stress and worry myself. I had a missed miscarriage and this time around I had weekly ultrasounds till I was 13 weeks to make sure I didn't have another missed miscarriage. I'm now 33 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl!
