First time mom and I need answers please

so this is my second time going to my baby doctor... I was 7 weeks when I first went and tomorrow I'll be 13 weeks... They said they are going to do blood work and a paps smear.... Does any moms out there know what kind of blood work they are doing.!!??? And don't think I'm crazy but the paps smears are just regular paps smears like you would get for STD checking or am I wrong... Just confused and looking for answers.... Please don't judge...

Paps are definatly normal, and the blood work is normal as well, just getting your info =) no worries

Pap smears are normal and the blood work is to test rubella, h.I.v., blood type. And so on and so on

I think I remember my first bloods being taken to see my blood group, test for what thing you may be immune to and also testing iron levels, hcg levels and such  :)

It's a routine check to make sure all your levels are normal and your body is working as it should with all these new hormones. Pap smears aren't just for STDs they also check for irregularities like cysts and stufd

It is normal for a pap right now and make sure no stds are present and they check your cervix. The blood test is hiv and I believe the down syndrome test? That's when I got my blood work was 13 weeks
