Puzzle

My luteal phase is 14 days, I track my ovulation date. I had unprotected sex 7 days before the due periods. I have also read that implantation takes 7-10 days from conception. In such a case won't time of implantation coincide with AF? And if there is bleeding without clots is it periods or implantation bleeding?

I just saw your other post. Since you had sex seven days before your period was due, it's unlikely that the egg was fertilized because there's about a 24-48 hour window when you ovulate to fertilize the egg before it starts to deteriorate.

Well the only way to be 100% sure is to test if you miss your period, but from what it sounds like you have started your period.

It can take 6-12 days for a fertilized egg to implant, it doesn't coincide with AF because you ovulate 14 days BEFORE your period. SO for instance if you have a 28 day cycle, you'll ovulate on day 14, and if you got pregnant 6-12 days later ranges from day 20 to day 26.

Implantation bleeding doesn't happen as often as you would think. It's actually supposed to be spotting, not bleeding like a period. You can have bleeding in early pregnancy, but if you/whoever your asking about is pregnant and is having bleeding it's best to get checked by a doctor. And always best to wait until at least the day AF is due to test, because beforehand you may get a false result. After the 6-12 days for implantation it can take another 24-48 hours for the hormone level to be high enough to be detected by a pregnancy test.
