pumping&episiotomy question..

does pumping dry you out??
why have my breasts hurt so bad and i lack enough production?
and omg, anyone know when will my episiotomy heal (i know it varies but i would love an estimate), and how do you know its healed.. i am scared to look down there and i know its still too soon for it to heal.. also how do you know if it gets infected :oo and how long is it suppose to hurt..
damn so many questions about two topics sorry for bugging :)

I had a breast infection with my last baby  . Your breasts hurt BAD and sometimes get red. I had an extremely high fever too. So watch out for that! Hang in there! I know how painful that can be...but make sure you let ur dr know .

Also,  when I pumped I would have to look at a picture of my baby in order for my milk to let down. Go buy mothers milk tea it has that fenugreek or whatever it's called to help lactation. Also try to get in touch with your local La Leche League. Breastfeeding can be tiring at first but you will get the hang of it! You are still a good mama cow!! And I had mastitis after my first pregnancy. It blocked my ducts and I had to have the infection cut out. Your breast will be tender to the point where you will want to cut it off and it will be fevered.

Pumping too much at once  can cause you to stop producing as much. I had this issue at first. I would not pump and feed the baby from a bottle for a feeding or two and let my breasts engorge then nurse her and pump about 8 ounces.

Pumping does not dry you out, if anything, it will increase your milk supply. & an episiotomy usually takes up to 6 weeks to heal. Your doctor will let you know if its healed when you go for your 6 week check up
