Saw My Priest About Miscarriage.

I saw my Priest yesterday b/c I was having a hard time coping with my miscarriage. I told him I was 6 weeks when it happened. He asked if I knew what it was. I said no but had a strong feeling it was a boy. He then asked if we had a name picked out and I said Daniel Vance. He told me that I protected Daniel for the 6weeks while his human soul was here on earth and now his soul  in Heaven is protecting my husband and I. He said I will always be a mother, its just that my child is in Heaven. This made me feel so much better. It is still hard and I miss Daniel every day. I hope this will help others that have had miscarriages.

staned - So sorry hun that you had to go through this. I too saw my pastor when I was going through my miscarriage. It's so tough. I am glad you found strength in his words (because they are true)!

Boricua - I don't know how I would have made it through any of this fertility rollarcoaster without hearing and reading Hannah's story over and over. It's a beautiful message with so much inspiration and hope.

I went through the same thing in Dec 2009...I named her Hannah Maria because there was a passage in the bible I was reading while having my miscarriage. I am glad you posted this, I never though of it this way...thanks, really.

I'm also sorry for your loss.  I understand how you feel.  I had a miscarriage last year.   I hope your preist helps you get the closure you need.  I'm not sure if the hurt ever goes away, but it gets a little better.  best wishes to you.
