Evening primrose oil is supposed to soften and help open your cervix. You can take it orally or vaginally. I prefer vaginally because its going right to the source. You just have to prick the pill first and insert it as far as possible before bed and then prop up your bottom and wear a liner.

I'm 36 weeks and I don't want to try to induce myself for at least another week, if not more, but I have started walking a lot more each day to help my body prepare itself for labor. It's supposed to help you dilate as well.

Although, when I was pregnant both with my first and second, I tried everything besides castor oil and had to be induced 6 days late and then 11 days late so I don't even know if self inducing would work for me.

A lot of people on here talk down to you for trying to self induce before 40 weeks but I'm 37weeks and I am trying Castor oil, people don't recommend taking it because they say it causes the baby to poop inside of you but I've done a lot of research and there's no definite study that prove this happens. But that's something you could try if you want. But I heard it doesn't work unless you are already dilated. I'm 2.5cm so I hope it works for me

You're full term at 37 weeks. But it depends on how you're inducing.

What can you try if you are thinned or dialated aside from sex (I've heard that's the best way tho)

I would start at 36 weeks, but self inducing won't work if you don't have a favorable cervix. Are you thinned or dialated at all?
