Should we know the gender ?

Everyone's from both sides of the family are saying to wait and let it be a surprise.
I'm the only girl out of 4 brothers so my mom finds this pregnancy really close to heart.
This will be my husband's parents first grand baby.
So it's special both ways.
I want to know but then I don't .
I want to know because I hate calling the baby "it"
I need to call the baby "she" or "he" ..
At the same time , not knowing the gender till birth will be a total shocker on everyone's part .
Anyone waited till birth ??

I wouldnt and couldn't wait. Its best to be prepared. You will have to buy all neutral color things.

It really depends how anal you are about things! My sister waited until she had her son and she is so anal about everything and she freaked out when she had the baby cause she had like nothing and had to so it all last minute because she refused to buy gender neutral stuff lol

I plan to wait to find out... I found out with my first and don't exactly regret it, but want to have that huge surprise on the big day next time. I agree with nicknames - I know a 2yo girl whose mama still calls her "Bean" cause that was her in utero name, they didn't know who she would be :-)

My dad asked me to not find out with mine, its my parents first grandchild and with the three of my siblings he never wanted to know he said its like every birthday and christmas and every other present combined since its that special but found out bc my mom wanted to know. I told him i was too excited to not find out lol. So we have a lil boy on the way lol. I promised him that the next time i get pregnant i will not find out or if i do i wont tell anyone until he/she is born. I say its your baby do as you want

Everyone calls it peanut.
I call it my astronaut because it's first ultrasound and still up to this date, it's upside down lol.
You ladies are right!
Ugh, the temptation lol.

Let it be a surprise! One of my best friends did that and it drove me crazy her whole pregnancy because I wanted to shop but it was such a thrill waiting at the hospital to find out! Plus if you buy all of your big things in gender neutral (stroller, car seat, etc.) you can still use it for the next baby without worrying about them being the same gender!

It wouldn't be right lol.
I think.
I'm pretty sure I'll be looking towards their clothes when I go out shopping for other things and make it completely obvious .
