Ill have to try that, thank u
I have read that when it's light outside, keep your rooms bright, open windows and make noises, don't be quiet because baby is sleeping. Then during the night, be quiet and keep the rooms darker. That helps them learn waking and sleeping. I started it with my daughter when she was born (she's a week old now) and it's helped a lot. She will wake up for an hour or 2 after feedings during the day, and at night, she goes right back to sleep. And she only wakes up every 3-4 hours, she's breastfed. But it makes it a lot easier for me to take care of her because she's starting to be on my schedule.
I agree with the first response. My daughter is 3 months now. At @ 1 month I started waking her up from 5-7, depending how busy I was with my todler and keeping her up until she'll be tired. Now she'll fall asleep @ 11 every night and sleep until 8 or 9 am. Make sure baby is full, all gases out and clean diaper.
What i used to do with my daughter was let her sleep for shortperiods of time during the day and at nightime would take her a bath and put charmoline tea i think thats how you spell it, that helps them relax and she would sleep pretty much all night, she would only wake up when she was hungry
3 wks is still a bit early but maybe try keeping him up from 5-10 pm or something like that. After his feeding don't lay him down encourage him to stay up? I would not fret too much yet though since he will adjust fairly quickly as his wake hrs get longer.
