Sleeping methods

Ok so I've tryed da whole pillow between the legs thing nd I honestly can say that it does not help me sleep at all!! I wake up every mornin with either lower back pain or stiffness and my ribs feel like I'm being stabbed with a knife. Is there any other ways I can get comfertable nd wake up with less pain? Or do I just need a new mattress?

I have been uncomfortable for weeks I'm 31+ right now. Part of it is my bed but even with 2 pillows and body pillow I toss and turn and have to switch sides halfway through the night. Only thing that helped was sleeping with one of those big reading pillows so I am almost sitting up with 2 pillows under my back and body pillow under my side.

How far along are you?  I'm 35w1d and I've been really uncomfortable sleeping since about 31 weeks.  Baby moves into the ribs causing pain, belly is larger causing pain, hips separating causing pain when rolling.  The bigger you get the more uncomfortable it'll be to sleep no matter what you do.  You could try a wedge under your belly along with a pillow between the legs.  If you're early it could be your mattress but if you're further along, I'm sure it's just the pregnancy.
