Sperm donors, how long does it take to get pregnant with a sperm donor?

My fiance and I are having a baby using a sperm donor. Our first artificial insemination date is in September, and we are wondering how long it will take for me to get pregnant this way. Does anyone know? Thanks

Hello! Congrats on your decision to try invitro! I know that IVF is a lower percentage for conception rates however they inject higher numbers of sperm during your most fertile days. So, if all goes well it just might happen sooner than you think. My brother and sis in law chose IVF after discovering his infertility and they got pregnant on the first injection. Healthy pregnancy and a helthy and beautiful baby girl who's now 2 years old and they go back this year to try for a 2nd child. Their best advice to IVF parents is to go with the same donor if you can. Have your donor sperm stored in case he decides to quit donating. Also, even though they had her keep her legs up for 20 mins after injection she kept her legs up on the dash of the truck all the way home and rested for the remainder of the day to keep the sperm swimming upward.  Good luck!!

Every woman has a 25% chance of becoming pregnant in a cycle. I do not know if artificial insemination increases your chances or not. I'd google "chances of conception with artificial insemination".
