Slow embryo growth

I am looking for other ladies outcomes.  I know my conception date as we used ovulation kits.  I should have been 8 weeks at my ultrasound, however, I measured 6 weeks 3 days with a heartrate of 123.  I am to go back in 2 days (1 week later) for a follow-up ultrasound.  I will post my results for others.  I wish everyone the best.  I can understand everyone's anxiety and sadness.  This will be our 3rd miscarriage.

Also, has anyone had experience with cytotec.  This is the drug I will likely take to induce miscarriage if there is not heartbeat on Thursday.

Thanks!

um, can you  get a 2nd look from someone else?
i'm sorry not to give false hope, but there'sbeen women on this forum, who are told HB is gone, to get a 2nd opinion and the baby be fine.....

otherwise, i'm very sorry for your loss.....actually you've had quite a time, and i'm sooo sorry for all of it....i honestly cannot imagine trying and trying to face these kinds of things....

good luck, god bless, and i'll keep you and your family in my thoughts this weekend....

I'll ask my OB, but I am fairly sure we measure by LMP as opposed to gestational age...I will let you know :)  What was your heartrate?

Thank you.  I believe they date from LMP which would have put me at 8 weeks unfortunately...I'll let you know :)  Sadly, most of the stories I have read resulted in demise.  I love hearing success stories...gives me a bit of hope.  My other concern is chromosomal abnormalities.  One step at a time though.  Thank you for your concern!  You guys certainly make me feel less alone!

my last period was 21st june, i ovulated 4th july cd15.i am pregnant now im 8 weeks 4 days according to last period.but the baby measures 6 weeks 5 days.this is because the scan doesnt tell you dates by last scan, but dates from conception,so you are on track.i wouldnt worry.easy said than done...but sounds good to me..

Wow, you guys are really amazing!!!  Thank you for all your kind thoughts!  I too have been through fertility.  Hyperstimulation and IUI with a 22 week loss.  This was a wonderful miracle for us.  I will definitely post on Thursday.  Again, many thanks!

I know your feeling. I went in for an ultrasound at 6 weeks the heart beat was strong. Went back in for one at 3 and half months and the heart stopped while we were doing the ultrasound.

i just thought i would let you know that when i was pregnant with my 2nd baby i went in for an u/s and was also spoes to be 8 wks and the baby only measured 6 wks and now she is 18 months old and the same thing happen with my last pregnancy and she is 8 weeks old dr said that it was just late implantation or something like that but everything turned out fine and it sounds to me that your little one has a nice strong heartbeat .

I know the pain you are in and the long week wait for the next ultrasound. I've been there. Just wanted to let you know that those ovulation test sticks are really tricky in that you still don't know the exact day you ovulated and I'm hoping it was just a late implanter. We did things differently to get pregnant, IVF and surrogate, but I wanted to let you know that some embryos are just late implaters and slow growers. I had two embryos transferred, and one was WAY behind the other. I had counted it out, but sure enough they both implanted and now we are expecting twins. The one that was a slow grower has remained a little smaller than the other one and my surrogate is now 13 weeks. Good luck, i will keep an eye out to see how your ultrasound goes.

My LH surge occurred July 1st, so I am assuming I ovulated within the next 2 days.  I therefore added 2 weeks to the conception date (since I actually ovulated on day 21 :) ).  Thank you for your interest.

Are you counting from your LMP or the date you think you conception date?
