TTC, Missed Periods, Negative Pregnancy Tests =[

I'm very confused. I'm 19 years old. I got off birth control in August and since then my periods have been on time perfectly. My last period was March 15, 2010. It's now been 2 months, 2 weeks and 5 days since my last period and I'm still not bleeding. I've had sex a lot between the time of my last period and now but all of the pregnancy tests that I've taken have said negative. I took one 2 days after my first missed period and then 2 weeks after that. Then one on the 7th and then one on the 14th and all of them were negative. My period is due again on June 7th and if it doesn't come, that will be the third missed period. I've never missed a period in my life, and I've had my period since I was 11. The latest my period's ever been was about 1-2 weeks and now its about to be 7 weeks since my period was due. Right before my April period was due last month, I had cramps [around my lower abdomen/uterus and my sides] which felt like my period was going to come but it never did. Then it went away. But about a week before my May period was due the cramps came back and I mostly get them when I lay down on my stomach and when I'm sitting. I feel a lot more tired then usual and my friends tell me that my waist area have gotten wider. I feel naseous at times and I was REALLY congested the past couple of weeks [went away now]. And I know it wasn't allergies or cold because I wasn't sneezing or coughing. And my lower back has been KILLING me, especially when I start walking. But I don't know what to do because the tests still say negative. What should I do? Is there a possibility that I may still be pregnant?

I was six weeks pregnant (at least) and had a negative blood test due to medication I was taking. I would wait a little longer and then go to a doctor to find out.

I have had this same situation happen to me! I have had my period since I was in the 5th grade, and i went off my birth control in august as well. my period was acting normal up until jan.- then it started acting really funny.

jan= normal
feb= nothing
march= 2 weeks late, had for 48 hours and was really light
april= nothing
may= week late and had for 3 days and really light
and now i will have to see what is up in june!
but i have been talking to my dr and apparently birth control can mess up your system, even if you quit it a while ago, it may just take longer than some people to notice changes. but, i was also told that it is normal to miss periods, and a healthy woman can go up to three months without having one and still be healthy and nothing wrong- so if you dont get it here within the next month i would definitely try to see a dr so they can put you on something- and as for the symptoms, sometimes your mind and body can play tricks on you if you start thinking about pregnancy...i have been there too....and depending on if you want to get pregnant or not? i would say if you dont want to be pregnant and you were really having sex that much, maybe you should still be on the pill or use a condom? and if you want to get pregnant definitely see you dr and good luck!

Call your doctor.  They may want to do a blood HCG level.  Some women just do not show up positive on pregnancy tests right away for whatever reason.  They may also want to check your hormone levels or your thyroid just to make sure that is not the reason you have not been getting your period.  It is weird you missed more than 2 months of your period.  Best thing to do though is to call your doctor.  Good luck.

The best thing to do is go and see a doctor and get them to run some tests on you, the signs you are the same to those that some pregnant women get but its rather confusing as to why the tests show negative because if the control window was working then that shows the test is working therefore you wouldnt be pregnant, but i havent heard of this before so im not sure if there can be such things as false negatives unless the tests were not working!!!!  Good luck =]
