This is my first, currently 29 weeks, and we're not finding out. My husband really wants to, but I never wanted to know. He wasn't with me at my growth scan, so it's been pretty easy not finding out the gender. For me it makes it more exciting, but I can see how someone would want to know. I think it would give them more of a connection with the baby if they knew sex and name the baby before its born.
I really wanted to wait but I gave in. I think it would be a lot more exciting if you do wait though!
Gatorgrl112 my son kept saying the baby was a girl, he was at the ultrasound & when they said girl his response was "told ya!" Haha he's 5 maybe they just know......your little girl might be right :)
I could never do it but I give kudos to those who can wait! My friend just had a baby and they didn't find out the gender and let me tell ya the excitment and anticipation was so much fun. She thought it was so worth it even tho it was the hardest thing ever lol
I'm 24+4 and our bub is a surprise baby!! I have to admit it is hard as we can't really shop for clothes or gender themed things, unless they are neutral colours, but we chose a jungle theme so it suits either sex (yellows and greens). Also I am very lucky, I have two work mates who are having babies very close to me, and one is having a boy and the other a girl, so if I love something gender specific I buy it, and if my bub turns out to be the other gender, ill pass the items onto another lady :) but I think it's going to be so worth it when it comes time to push I definitely agree with maymommy !! Just another little surprise to look forward to. God bless our bubs :)
I wanted to know, baby daddy didn't...when we went for our scan babes wouldn't open its legs to show us, despite a lot of prodding from the sonographer so we couldn't find out...Due Date is in 3 days though so fingers crossed I don't have to wait too much longer to find out what it is lol x
Lol. I struggled with this. But eventually gave in because my husband refuses to wait. And my daughter who is three keeps telling me its a baby brother. So now I want to know if she is correct ;)
I already have one of each.
I've kept it a surprise and I love it, we're having the baby shower after baby is born, gives our families time to meet baby too! It will give me more incentive to push so I can see my baby boy or girl ! Keep it a surprise, besides, the ultrasound techs have been wrong before!
I find out the minute i could because its better baby shower wise and decorting and buying baby clothes
