goku- glucosamine is one of the main ingredients in Blue-Emu and it's inadvisable during pregnancy, so you might want to double-check with your doctor!
one of the top reasons for headaches is dehydration. sometimes when i have a headache that tylenol wont even touch, i can drink a bottle of water and feel better within 1/2 hr. hope this helps, hun!
It's really important if you've developed headaches for the first time, or headaches that are more severe than you've ever had, OR headaches that don't respond to normal treatments, to speak to your doctor ASAP.
Untreated headaches in pregnancy can become a problem, likewise severe headaches that are new or worsening can indicate a problem that should be addressed by a doctor.
Unfortunately the ladies are right; sometimes headaches are just a fact of pregnancy and hormones and blood flow changes can cause some pretty nasty ones. But any time they become SO severe that they don't respond to normal treatments, or if they suddenly worsen, you MUST see your doctor. It may just be something you'll have to learn to cope with (which stinks) but you should at least check.
I use blue-emu from Walgreen for all my pg pains! i know its like a joint pain reliever but it helped my terrible 2nd trimester headeahes! and i ve used it on my lower bk pain and even now i have pain in ribs and i rub it there too LOL!
I at times drink a small amount of caffeine when nothing else works. Coffee, soda, or tea. I'm going thru the same thing now too.
Headaches are really common in pregnancy unfortunately and we are limited in what we can do to fight them. Tylenol, drinking lots of fluids, rest, dimming the lights can sometimes help. If they are not going away then contact your Dr. and see if he can give you more options.
