Trisomy18 What is it really?

Hi yall. Im currently 20 weeks pregnant and just found out my baby has it.
Im not quite aware of what it is or what can happen other then my child wont survive. The doctors are telling me to have termination scheduled but i just started feeling the baby move and there is no way i can abort the baby.
The only way i would do that is if ''trisomy18'' could kill me as well. But other then that i wont do it!

Can someone help me what is it, the affects etc the doctor wouldnt really tell me much. thanks :-)

It's a chromosome abnormality that is incompatible with life. There are some children that survive to be born but they have learning disabilities, developmental delays, deformities, etc. My first daughter died at 32 weeks gestation in 2013 from this, but we didn't find out what happened til she'd already passed.

A first trimester screening that includes a blood test and ultrasound offers early information about a baby's risk of having it. A second trimester blood test called a quad screen can also detect it.
Symptoms include low birth weight, small abnormally shaped head, and birth defects in organs that are often life threatening.
Edwards syndrome has no treatment and is usually fatal before birth or within the first year of life.
