Uterus size

Today was my first pelvic exam and also the first time we heard the heartbeat! Of course it was super quick and I don't know the heart rate but it was awesome! When Dr did my pelvic exam he said "you seem to be about 12-13 weeks, how far along are you? " I'm 11 weeks. How common is it to be ahead by a week or 2? Could this mean multiples? I having an ultrasound next Saturday to confirm dating but I'm sure of my dates. I am also feeling already flutters/quickening a few times a day (and this is my first pregnancy). Any thoughts?

When are you getting a sonogram? That will definitely be the telling factor. For now I wouldn't worry about it one bit! You may be worrying for nothing. ;-)

Okay, thanks! I will be happy with a singleton or multiples but I'm worried about have multiples for financial reasons lol my friend that I work with had twins last year and she keeps telling me she thinks I'm gonna have twins so it's sketching me out lol.
That is a funny coincidence that we both got to hear our babies' heartbeats today for the first time! Very exciting! Thanks again!

Externally feeling the uterus is just a guess, especially in earlier pregnancy. Being off by 1-2 weeks is VERY common so I wouldn't assume there are multiples. If you were measuring more like 16 weeks then I'd probably suspect multiples more. But you seem to be on target!

Funny coincidence- today was the first day I heard our baby's heartbeat, too! I am 12 weeks.
