ok, just an opinion

I am 12 weeks pregnant today. other than the missing period, I swear I can't tell that I'm pregnant. I feel EXACTLY the same as I did 13 weeks ago. I have two other children, both boys, and from the word go both of their pregnancies were absolutely terrible. I had morning sickness so bad the entire 9 months that I didn't just wake up and throw up, I woke up as I was throwing up. everyday for 9 months with both pregnancies. My hips ached, my pubic bone seperated (the most painful freaking thing in the world - you can pretty much say good bye to walking) my boobs hurt the whole time, i was always hungry, and irritated. I was wondering if since my pregnancy this time around is so different that maybe i'm having a girl this time? any personal experiences?

Consider yourself lucky ;-)

A friend of mine wasn't very sick the fiirst time.  Now, with her second, she's been taking medication for it, the nausea has been so bad.  She has a boy and just found out she's having another boy - so I don't think that opposite symptoms necessarily mean different gender.

I've heard that the more nausea you have, the higher probability you'll have a girl.  People keep telling me that I'm having a girl for that reason - I was only ever mildly queasy with DS and this time I was nauseous until week 15/16.  I actually kind of feel like I'm having a girl this time (u/s was 60% confirmed girl...still, not a very high percentage).  I guess I'll find out for sure when I deliver!

I was actually thinking the same thing, lol. When I was pregnant with my son, I was constantly throwing up and in pain. I can really relate to that walking thing, it hurt sooo bad. Now, with this one, I don't feel pregnant at all. I am starting to show, but that only began a week or so ago and I am 15 weeks. I actually want another boy, but my DH and mom both want a girl, so we'll see in 3 weeks when I go from my 18 week u/s. :)

My first child was a girl, and I never felt pregnant.  I was extremely sick the whole first trimester and into the second with this pregnancy, and had a handful of other symptoms I never felt with my daughter.  I was convinced this was a boy because it's been so extremely different.  It's another girl though.  It just goes to show that every pregnancy really can be totally different.  It's 50/50 either way though, so it could be a girl.  That wouldn't be the reason you feel so different though.

Im only pregnant with my first, but in my first trimester i didn't really have any symptoms besides i was more tired than usual.  In my second trimester i felt wonderful besides my clothes fitting funny so it made me feel uncomfortable.

I would think if it is different there is a possibility that you are having a girl. =)
