Pregnancy without sex

I stopped taking my birth control pills on Feb 21st.  I had my period on Feb 23rd and ended on the 28th/ March 1st.  I then found out I was pregnant on March 24th.  My husband and I have a roomate living with us.  I had heard a story about a woman who got pregnant without having sex.  Is it possible if our roomate got some sperm on surfaces in the shower that I could get pregnant from that??  FOr example if he did his business in the shower and his fluids got on the soap or body loofah it could actually get in me?  Just from contact?  I'm still very early in the pregnancy and I want to be very excited but i worry constantly about this probem.

im with phyredancer, i bet you got pregnant while on ur birth control...i was a birth control baby...my mom was on the pill for 2 years..she even took her pills everyday then one day she got a big surprise.. me! : ) lol so pregnancy was possible on birth control...and as for the shower thing..unless you actually got into the shower right after ur roommate and then inserted his sperm into yourself (however one might do that) then i doubt you could be pregnant from that. but Good Luck with the pregnancy that you do have!! congrats

it is VERY possible to have gotten pregnant while you were on your birth control. im living proof of that, i found out i was 7 weeks pregnant on november 5th 2008, and had my IUD removed 3 days later, im now 29 weeks pregnant with our first boy. and my mom had 2 "periods" when she was pregnant with my baby sister, (not true periods but period like bleeding) she said she bled for about 4 days, and it stopped and then next month she did it again! she was over 3 months before she found out! so do you think maybe you could have concieved while on birth control??

No, sperm dies when it stays in contact with air and water.

There's no physical way to become pregnant without sex/semen.

Seriously, there is no way you can get pregnant without having sex. If sperm was left on any surface it would die almost immediately when coming into contact with air.

No, I really dont think so....Have you had an u/s yet? Maybe you were already pregnant before you got your preiod....
